Unsavory Truth: How Food Companies Skew the Science of What We Eat. In that book, I review research on the “funding effect,” the strong correlations between who pays for food and nutrition research and its outcome. Industry-funded research tends to produce results favorable to the funder’s interests (otherwise it wouldn’t be funded). But recipients of […]

Is there anyway to access this without subscribing to Feedly? I’m curious, does the suspension mean the sale of new policies?
I couldn’t find the actual press release. But according to my news feed it wasn’t much. Here is the company’s full statement:
Prudential is focused on helping customers with their life insurance needs in this challenging time. The product changes announced last week are in response to the unprecedented market volatility over the past month and the anticipated low interest rate environment for the foreseeable future. Moving forward we will maintain a prudent financial approach, continuously evaluating our product portfolio and making adjustments that enable us to continue to deliver for our customers.
Yes, suspension means the company has stopped selling their 30 year term plan.
Thank you. And I assume if you die they will still pay out on existing policies? I don’t have Prudential, but I do have life insurance.
Yes. Death claims will be paid as contractual obligations. Once a life insurance policy is issued it becomes a contract.
