Wow, that is really sad. And especially since the children are coming from the poorest areas and also have comorbidities. So many things not in their favor.
How old were you when you were first considered obese? It seems like the earlier the problem is addressed the better.
I was always heavy as a child and probably met the obese definition in HS. The first three years at college I went from around 220 up to 370. I lost my weight senior year.
