Very interesting article. I retired from the military at age 50. But have continued to volunteer at a clinic since 2001. I’m also active in several other volunteer activities, Dog Training, and Tai Chi. All things that help keep me physically and mentally sharp.
I think keeping active and engaged are extremely important. Even my purchasing a new car last month has been quite the experience. It’s absolutely chock-full of all these gadgets and electronics and features that I had no idea how do use. Reading the manual, going on test drives, returning for classes with the
dealership have been quite a challenge.
I’m still working a regular W-2 job, read a lot and blog. I hope to continue working as long as my health holds up and I have a willing employer.
