Coffee and Atrial Fibrillation

At the end of the study, the group that drank coffee experienced a 39% lower risk of recurring AFib episodes. In addition to coffee’s potential anti-inflammatory effects, the researchers proposed that those who drank coffee may have naturally replaced less healthy drinks, such as sugary sodas, with coffee instead. 1. It’s interesting that it was a year ago. My cardiologist told me this. I had talked to him about the use of alcohol and caffeine. And he told me that my giving up alcohol was a good idea for many reasons, but definitely for the atrial fibrillation. But he said that coffee does not make it worse and can even be a help. So I gradually resumed my caffeine consumption, nowhere near what I used to drink before. But I would say I typically in the morning have 2 to 3 cups, but nothing after about 10 in the morning.
